SVA's Executive Director receives CFRE recertification

Southern Valley Alliance’s Executive Director, Christie Larson, has been recertified as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).  Those granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International which include tenure in the profession, education, and demonstrated fundraising achievement.

Christie brings over 10 years of experience in nonprofit administration and fundraising to Southern Valley Alliance.  She attended St. Olaf College for Social Work and American University in Washington, D.C. to receive her Master’s in Public Policy.  Christie has worked in a variety of social service fields including transitional housing, mental health, domestic violence, and family services.

“I am proud to be recertified as a CFRE because it shows our organization’s focus on ethical standards for fundraising,” says Christie.  “SVA values each and every donation we receive and by holding this credential, I share CFRE’s principles of honesty, respect, integrity, transparency and responsibility in regard to fundraising and development.”

The CFRE certification program is accredited by the American National Standards Institute and is the only accredited certification for fundraising professionals.
