Criminal Justice Intervention

When Carver and Scott County law enforcement respond to a domestic, they contact Southern Valley Alliance to give support and resources to the victim. Our valuable program partners include the following agencies: Sheriff’s Departments of Scott and Carver Counties, Police Departments of Belle Plaine, Chaska, Elko-New Market, Jordan, New Prague, Prior Lake, Savage and Shakopee.

In addition, all ten law enforcement agencies in Carver and Scott counties, partner with SVA on the Lethality Assessment Program, which connects all high-lethality victim-survivors with an advocate via phone call from the scene. This automatic connection decreases the likelihood the realationship could end in homicide by 60%.
