On January 13th, 2020, the Savage Police Department presented Christie Larson, Executive Director for Southern Valley Alliance, with a check for $1,000. Last October (2019), Savage Police helped raise awareness for domestic violence by selling purple patches. The Savage Crime Prevention Association purchased 100 patches that sold for a suggested donation of $10 each. 100% of the proceeds went to the local domestic violence agency, Southern Valley Alliance, that works to end domestic abuse in Scott and Carver counties.
