Domestic Violence Awareness Month - Campaigns

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) is an important time to honor and remember victims and survivors of domestic violence. By displaying purple lights and DVAM yard signs, you can take a stand against domestic violence, create awareness, and show victim-survivors they are not alone.

Join us this October as we turn our community purple to inform our neighbors, and support survivors.

Purple Light Campaign:
Purple is the symbolic color for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Help us raise awareness by displaying purple lights outside your home, business, or organization, during the month of October.

Yard Sign Campaign:
Yard signs are 18”x24” coroplast and come with a heavy-duty wire stake. To offset our costs, we are requesting a $10 donation per sign, which will support domestic violence services in Scott and Carver counties.

For more information, and to order your signs: Email info@svamn.org or Call 952-873-4214

Let us know you are participating by contacting and sending photos to info@svamn.org or by taking a photo and tagging Southern Valley Alliance on Social Media. Don’t forget to use these hashtags: #SVAMN #DVAM
