Shakopee Public Schools Domestic Violence Support

During the 2021/22 school year, Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) students in the Healthcare & Medicine Program at Shakopee High School partnered with Southern Valley Alliance (SVA) to make a difference in the community. - Shakopee Public Schools

Over the past few months the Shakopee CAPS students were able to hang 586 SVA Crisis Line Posters in Scott and Carver counties (with the potential to reach over 10,000 individuals), share a domestic violence awareness post on the Shakopee Public Schools Facebook Page, and create a Domestic Violence Support page on the Shakopee School District website.

Their dedication and support will have a ripple affect of awareness in our community for many years to come.
